About

Hello, and welcome to my blog! I’m Jeremy, and I’ll take this time to give you a little background information about myself.
I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota with my parents, sister, brother, and kitties. We moved into my parents’ current house when I was very little. We lived there for practically my whole life, so I got to stay in the same district the whole time I was in school. I didn’t do a whole lot while I was in school, but I developed an interest in technology at a fairly young age. This was partly due to the fact that my dad works as an electronics maintenance technician. I started messing with computers when I was about 10 years old, and I’ve been doing it almost non-stop ever since. While I was in high school, I also developed an interest in cars, especially while I was in my automotive technology class my senior year. After high school I got a job at Best Buy’s Geek Squad, and worked there for three years. After a lot of problems with that, as well as the inability to find another job in the computer industry, I decided to pursue a career in the automotive industry, where my other passion lies. In 2008 I moved to Sacramento, California to become a full-time student at WyoTech to study automotive technology with a concentration in street rod and custom fabrication. After I graduated from WyoTech, I spent 3 months looking for a job. When I was unable to find one, I was forced to move back home to Minnesota (which really wasn’t as bad as it sounds). I found work as a web developer in Minnesota, but I moved back to Northern California in early 2011 to start on the initial steps of starting a fabrication business. Things did not work out with my friend/roommate/business partner, and I couldn’t afford to live where I wanted to alone, so I am back in Minnesota again, at least for a while. I intend to get some shop space and start fabricating on my own. I am currently still working my web development job, but I will hopefully be able to phase that out in the not-too-distant future.
In my free time, I like to drive and work on my Trans Am, chill with my friends, build websites, play video games, listen to classic rock, and watch action and comedy movies. I play the drums occasionally too, but I’m really not very good. I am also interested in programming, American and exotic (not Asian) cars, photography, politics, and travel.
